The School of Arts and Humanities is in an ideal position to provide you the best educational experiences while pursuing your academic degree at UAB. Located in Birmingham, Alabama's largest population center where cultural and external learning opportunities abound, the school provides its students access to some of the best facilities in the region and state. The school maintains 10 state-of-the-art computer labs for its disciplines that range from writing, journalism, and graphic design to music technology and theatre design. The Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, known for its diverse programming, and the Visual Arts Gallery featuring exhibitions that challenge the imagination are but two of the venues for which UAB is recognized. Add to this the newly renovated Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall and ambitious plans for a new Visual Arts Center, and you'll get a better sense of just how exciting it is to study, exhibit, perform at UAB.
